This short dubstep track was originally composed for the Terra Australis project. The clients initially asked me to produce some dubstep to run alongside timelapse footage of urban Sydney.



But dubstep is a very dark and heavy style of electronic music, better suited to the grimy estates of Croydon than a bright and breezy city like Sydney, and, with the clients' approval, I eventually decided to shelve the track and develop the film's first theme into something more appropriate.



However, the opportunity to step outside of familiar territory and produce a track of this kind was a welcome challenge, and I was glad to give it a go.
